Jonathan Gould
Founder and Chief Executive Officer
Jonathan Gould is the founding member and Chief Executive Officer of Stonemar, where he has been involved in all phases of the firm’s development since its inception in 2003. Mr. Gould co-heads the firm’s current investment initiative, Stonemar Growth and Income Investors, and focuses on sourcing investment opportunities and developing new joint venture relationships; he is also responsible for all property management and corporate-related aspects of Stonemar Properties. Mr. Gould has more than 25 years of experience in real estate; he has extensive knowledge of all facets of real estate investment and ownership, including acquisitions, development, finance, dispositions, leasing, and management.
Prior to founding Stonemar in 2003, Mr. Gould spearheaded the $638 million acquisition of Prime Retail, Inc. (NASDAQ: PMRE), a publicly-traded REIT with 32 outlet centers and 8.6 million square feet situated throughout the United States. From 1998 to 2001, he was a Senior Vice President at SL Green Realty Corporation (NYSE: SLG), where he was responsible for the REIT’s acquisitions, dispositions, and financing of more than $1 billion of commercial office and retail properties. From 1988 to 1998, Mr. Gould was a partner and Executive Vice President in charge of acquisitions and real estate at TMO, Inc., a privately- held owner-operator of parking facilities, commercial and multifamily properties, and development sites in New York City. During his tenure, he led the company through its principal expansion phase, growing its portfolio of parking assets from 52 to 115 locations – transforming it into the City’s largest private owner of parking facilities – and positioning it for an eventual recapitalization in a $275 million transaction with the Whitehall Fund, an affiliate of Goldman Sachs.
Mr. Gould is a graduate of the Boston University School of Management and New York Law School; he was also admitted to both the New York and Connecticut Bars.
Greg Guido
Principal, Director of Acquisitions
Mr. Guido is a Principal at Stonemar and co-heads the firm’s current investment initiative, Stonemar Growth and Income Investors. He is responsible for developing and managing new joint venture relationships and for sourcing, underwriting, analyzing, structuring, and executing investments. Mr. Guido has acquired more than $500 million of real property while specializing in acquisitions for Antares Investment Partners, the Praedium Group, and Liquid Realty Partners; he also has consulted on acquisition, development, repositioning, and portfolio valuation projects totaling more than $10 billion for Cerberus Capital Management, General Electric, Centro Properties Group US (now Brixmor Property Group), Argent Ventures, and Racebrook Capital Advisors.
Mr. Guido is a board member of Whiterock Real Estate Investment Trust (WRK.UN), a Toronto-based public company that owns and manages more than 10.8 million square feet of high-quality office, retail, and industrial assets in Canada and the United States. He has been a board member since 2005 and is a member of the REIT’s Investment, Audit, and Corporate Governance and Compensation Committees. Mr. Guido is also a member of the company’s Special Committee in charge of analyzing and negotiating the $1.4 billion publically-announced pending sale of Whiterock to Dundee REIT (D.UN).
Mr. Guido earned a B.A. in Economics from Middlebury College and an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School. He holds a real estate salesperson license in the State of New York.
Ronald Pordy
Executive Vice President and Real Estate Counsel
Ronald Pordy is an Executive Vice President and Real Estate Counsel at Stonemar. He is responsible for all the firm’s real estate legal matters, including leasing and acquisitions and dispositions, as well as managing and coordinating Stonemar’s legal affairs with local and outside counsel. During the last three years, Mr. Pordy has successfully spearheaded the leasing program at Stonemar, resulting in the repositioning of more than 150,000 square feet.
Previously, he practiced corporate law at Shearman & Sterling and Nixon Hargrave Devans & Doyle (now Nixon Peabody) before establishing his own practice. During his legal career, Mr. Pordy has represented numerous publicly-held companies, as well as small- and medium-sized businesses and various individuals in connection with their business and real estate holdings throughout the United States.
Mr. Pordy earned a B.A., summa cum laude, from Hunter College and is a cum laude graduate of Brooklyn Law School.
Rita Canonizado
Vice President – Controller
Rita Canonizado is a Vice President, Controller at Stonemar. She has more than 25 years of experience in property management accounting. Prior to joining Stonemar, Ms. Canonizado began her real estate career at SL Green as its first property accountant, and then continued her real estate career at various premier real estate companies and financial institutions, including Jones Lang Wooton Realty Advisors, MBL Assurance Corp, Summit Bank, SJP Properties, and Applied Development.
Ms. Canonizado earned a B.S. in Foreign Service and an A.B. in Political Science from Lyceum of the Philippines University.
Dennis Renton
General Manager – Property Management
Dennis Renton is a General Manager of Property Management at Stonemar has more than 20 years of experience managing and leasing commercial real estate, with an emphasis on retail property management and development. Prior to joining Stonemar, Mr. Renton was Vice President with Polimeni International, where he managed the company’s regional retail portfolio and Class A office buildings. Previously, Mr. Renton managed urban and suburban retail properties for The Hutensky Group in Hartford, CT and The Brookhill Group in New York City. He began his career as an asset manager for New York Life Insurance and American Continental Properties.
Mr. Renton earned a B.A. in economics from Queens College. He is a licensed real estate broker in the State of New York and he has achieved the CSM management designation from the International Council of Shopping Centers, where he has been a member since 1990.
Anthony Dagati
Senior Analyst – Acquisitions and Asset Management
Anthony Dagati is a Senior Analyst of Acquisitions and Asset Management at Stonemar. He is responsible for sourcing, identifying, evaluating, underwriting and analyzing potential acquisitions and for assisting in asset management. Prior to joining Stonemar, Mr. Dagati was an Acquisitions Analyst at the Capstone Group, where he identified, underwrote, and conducted due diligence on potential acquisitions, focusing primarily on core and value-add multi-tenant retail shopping centers, triple-net lease deals, and industrial and self-storage assets located in secondary and tertiary markets throughout the United States. He began his career as a Real Estate Analyst with David Cronheim Mortgage Corporation, a mid-sized financial intermediary, where he analyzed debt and equity transactions for commercial real estate assets totaling in excess of $1 billion across all property types, with an emphasis on retail and hospitality assets.
Mr. Dagati received his B.A. degree in Economics from the University of Chicago.
